The Wet Tropics of Queensland contain some of the highest species diversity of any area in Australia. The World Heritage Listing recognises its outstanding significance and its endemics which belong to taxa with long, distinct lineages going back to Gondwanan times; not just another rainforest but a rainforest unique to Australia. Join Ross Dixon and local naturalist David (Chook) Crawford as they go in search of relict and modern' rainforest birds, mammals, reptiles and plants. As well as highlighting the fantastic wildlife of the area we will also visit many of the beautiful waterfalls, historic towns, aboriginal rock art sites, iconic beaches and cruise on the Daintree River.
