

Commencing in Launceston we explore the northeast around Mt William National Park and the coast to St. Helens. Heading west we visit Devils Gulch and Lake McKenzie, Cradle Mountain and Rocky Cape National Parks, as well as Stanley and �The Nut�. From Smithton we travel to the Arthur River and visit historic Woolnorth. South through the remote Tarkine Wilderness to Strahan. Here we visit the convict settlement on Sarah Island, the King River devastated by mining and processing at Queenstown, and Macquarie Heads. An optional Gordon River flight can be arranged. Leaving the west coast we travel through the rugged central mountain and lake area to the Derwent Valley and Hobart. As well as exploring this lovely city we will visit Mt Field National Park and Lake Pedder and have time to explore the rugged southwest and Bruny Island. A day at Port Arthur then on to Bicheno and the magnificent Freycinet National Park. Our final day takes us via historic Campbell Town and Ross and back to Launceston. Plenty of walking opportunities; motel or luxury lodge accommodation.
